Australia Refugee Volunteers (ARV) is a 100% volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney, Australia. The main objective of ARV is to improve the lives of children and families from asylum seeker and refugee backgrounds. ARV programs provide essential recreational and developmental opportunities for children, families and adults which ease loneliness and isolation and improve physical and mental health.​
Every gift of $40 helps another youth participate in new experiences and form stronger friendships.
Fun and flexible
ARV runs monthly excursions for children and teens from a refugee or asylum seeker background, living in Sydney. Our excursions are a mix of fun and developmental activities that give our clients skills and confidence whilst allowing them to just be kids for the day!
Volunteers collect children, bring them together as a program group for the activity, and then drop them home at the end of the day.
