Holiday Gift Drive

At ARV it has become a wonderful holiday tradition to provide a gift tailored to each of the clients we work with and present it at our end-of-year Holiday Program!

Whether you are a new or an existing donor, the Holiday Gift Drive is a small but meaningful way to make an impact in our community.

***The Holiday Gift Drive is now open!***

 Key Dates

How the holiday gift drive works

How it works

Step 1

We allocate you a child to shop for. To assist with your shopping, we will provide a profile of the client, including their age and interests by November 8th.

Step 2

Go shopping - please choose a new gift that is:

  • Age-appropriate (we’ll provide the child’s age & interests)

  • Valued at around $40 (this keeps gifts fair across all children)

  • Non-religious (to respect all backgrounds)

Examples of suitable gifts: sports equipment, art supplies, board games, puzzles, dolls, books, LEGO, tech accessories (e.g. headphones, speakers), clothing vouchers.

Step 3

Drop your gift off at one of our drop-off points around Sydney by December 3rd. There is no need to wrap the gift, just attach a label with your child's assigned number (we'll give this to you when we send the profile)

Step 4

ARV volunteers will hand the presents out at our final event of the year in December!

Gift guidelines

1.

Spend a maximum of $40 per gift. It is OK to go a little under or over, however, please try to keep it as close as possible to ensure we keep consistency across the gifts.

2.

Please avoid any food items (including chocolates). Gifts should be non-denominational/non-religious

3.

Please ensure the gift is of interest and age-appropriate for your child (details will be provided to help guide you)

From the bottom of our hearts and on behalf of all our wonderful clients, thank you for your generosity and Happy Holidays!
